Emma 20th October 2020

Mick was wonderful man, a true gent and the sort of person who would go out of his way to help others. He spent over 25 years at BPS where he moved from our Shop Manager to our Commercial Director. There is no doubt that Mick’s enthusiasm and character helped establish BPS as the merchant to deal with. His knowledge and personality were a big part of this. Even now we have Leamington customers asking for Mick, although he has been retired from BPS for quite a few years. As many of you will know Mick’s other passion was Leamington Football Club and his association with the Club is the main reason BPS became Shirt Sponsors twenty years ago. We do not believe there would have been a Club if Mick had not stepped in and kept it going until the new ground at the Windmill was found. Anyone who has walked the Parade in Leamington with Mick will testify that a usual five minute stroll could take over an hour as he would talk to everyone and he would then tell you not only who they were, but where they lived, where they worked, their wife’s name brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts etc etc…. he was truly an encyclopaedia of local knowledge. We are sure you will join us in expressing our deepest condolences to Mick’s wife Jenny and family. We have lost a very special person who had time for all of us, a standard bearer for BPS because of his customer service, whether it was a penny washer or an expensive bathroom suite he cared that you got what you wanted with a smile. We would go as far as to say our Company would not be the company it is today without Mick’s involvement and for all who knew him this will be a difficult time. RIP Mick Brady.
